Thin down the fonts
Those elaborate fonts with curly lettering and ornate designs may look great but they also require that much more ink. Also letters in bold require twice the amount of ink. As far as possible, use thin fonts such as Arial and Courier. Bold text only when it is essential.
Reduce the size
While large fonts on paper look good and also grab attention, they also use a lot of ink. So the more you need to print, the smaller should be the font size, without compromising on readability. Do not print the extras
